Digital Space

I'm Tom. One developer, always on hand.

I'm a developer in Bournemouth and I've been building for the web for over 10 years. I build websites, apps and the digital bits in between for small businesses and startups, and you deal with me, not an account manager or a ticket queue.

At a glance

  • 10+

years building for the web, and apps for the last five

  • Bournemouth

where I live and work, with clients in Poole, Christchurch, Dorset and across the UK

  • Next.js and Strapi

the tools behind my recent sites, with Postgres for data and Vercel for hosting

  • Just me

one person builds your site and supports it afterwards

How I work

  • A fixed monthly price, with hosting and support included.
  • I learn your business properly and tell you honestly when an idea will or won't work.
  • Plain-English updates, before and after launch.
  • I stick around after launch, and I'm always there to support you.

Experience

  • A development apprenticeship in 2015, instead of university.
  • Digital agencies along the south coast, on fast-paced projects across almost every sector.
  • In-house teams at LV= and daily.dev.
  • Built the Go Gym app, which is live on iOS, Android and the web.

What I have built

Websites and apps for small businesses, built by me from the first idea to launch and supported by me after it.

Who I love working with

Sport and fitness businesses: I'm in the gym most days. And startups: if you've got a business name and no idea where to start, I can take you from domain and company registration to a live site.

Away from the desk

I grew up in Bournemouth and my whole family is here, though I support Southampton, which makes for some interesting conversations. I work remotely with most clients, and I'm happy to meet in person, especially to say hello.

Got an idea or a business that needs a website?

Tell me about it. I reply within a working day, and you can always email hello@digital-space.io.
